If you want to keep it as it is years from now then make your part in saving the environment. Check out the environmental programs and try to help. Most people want to live their live just the way they want to and they don't think about the next generations. If the environment has to be good for the next generations to exprience you have to help the world stay nice. We have a few websites in the Environmental Programs section look there to find out more about what is happening in the world.

How Does Climate Change Affect Us?

Many people may be asking, how does climate change affect us? Well, for one thing, if we don't stop climate change, our whole world will be destroyed. Humans play a major role in the cause of climate change. As we all know, global warming has begun to melt the glaciers all around the world. The pollution from factories, gas-powered cars , and trucks cause the ozone layer to eventually heat up. Climate change will cause extreme weather like severe droughts and blizzards. I am sure nobody wants to have summers of 140° and winters of -75° .Not only will the weather change, but natural disasters will be more common and more dangerous For example, hurricanes will be stronger. This can then lead to world destruction.

How to Slow Down Climate Change

Climate change is a major thing going on in the world and there are several ways to slow down climate change. If you care about the environment you would use electric cars, but if you use a gas car then you are polluting the air and that causes global warming. The ozone layer is getting thinner and thinner because of all the pollution. If you just stop polluting and tell others to stop polluting then this world can be better. Also if you recycle and do not put random things on the floor then all the things that can be recycled will be recycled. When we recycle the world will not be piled up with tons and tons of trash. Animals are dying because of eating all the trash. If this continues then soon most of the types of animals will be gone. Another way to stop climate change is to start using solar panels. Once we start using solar panels the sunlight can provide power to your house and it won't be wasting any of the electricity. Right now lots of people don't have solar panels for their houses but the more you use them the better it is for the environment because it doesn't produce greenhouse gases or air pollution.

Women Who Have Taken Action

Many women around the world have tried to put an end to climate change. If you ask me, that's very impressive. One example of women around the world is Christiana Figueres. After heading a climate-change nonprofit for eight years, Christiana Figueres took on leadership of the UNFCCC, the body responsible for international climate-change negotiations, at the agency’s lowest point. Figueres successfully steered world leaders to reach the Paris Agreement in 2015. Along with several other women involved in the negotiations, Figueres was successful in shedding important light on the gender dimension of climate change. Another woman who tried to stop climate change is the well, know Greta Thunberg. In 2018, then 15-year-old Greta Thunberg started a school strike in Sweden to draw attention to the climate crisis, and since then her message has spread—despite her avoidance of air travel because of its high carbon emissions. She gave many speeches and eventually managed to convince millions of people.

Environmental Programs

After all the talk we are hearing nowadays about saving the environment, it makes us think about what we can do to help. Here are a few environmental programs that you can join and take you to step toward saving the environment.
Help the World Problems
Animals around the world are endangered and harmed by illegal poachers. People are homeless and don't have proper shelter and food. Foods that used to be organic are being added with GMO causing chemicals to be in our body. Help all these causes and volunteer your time to make a change in the world for a better future.
Local Climate and Energy
Going back to global warming, to help the community you live in, you can find an effective working energy plan and help your community save money and the planet. Instead of paying lots of money for electricity, use solar power. Cost-efficient and good for the long term.
Health & Saftey
The world has tons to offer us. To do something back, we can start by reusing old toys or clothing to keep from those to be thrown away or into the ocean, we can donate them to make someone else happy or upcycle them and make our own creation. This program helps people get those used items to other people who really need them.
Polution Managment
Trash is just plain nasty. No doubt. It stinks, you have to bring it out for the garbage truck to pick up, and worst of all, it hurts the environment. Over 100 MILLION marine animals die EACH YEAR due to getting entangled, choked, or hurt by plastic. If we keep polluting at this rate, by 2050, there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Save these poor animals by reusing plastic water bottles, and encouraging others to do the same.
Business Plan for the Planet
Every time I turn on the TV and see people on the news trying to stop climate change, I feel so happy, and I’m inspired to do so too. I'm Yazhini Raman. I am 11 years old and I am going to go to Pine Valley Middle School in August. I'm very interested in coding, swimming, and of course, I love ASTRONOMY! I love to hang out with my friends and travel. In my free time, I usually crochet and watch youtube or I read in a comfy corner in my room. Once, while crocheting, I saw an ad on youtube which showed a picture of a baby penguin trying to swim and look for land. That inspired me to save animals around the world by making people aware that our world will be destroyed if we don't act fast. I hope this webpage will inspire more people to put an end to this global crisis.

Indhra

Hi! I'm Indhra Kannan. I am 12 years old and going to go to the University Preparatory Academy. I love doing art and swimming and other things. I love to spend time with my friends and I also love playing games online. I love going on vacation with my family and friends. I enjoy spending time at national parks and looking at all of the amazing views. But once I think of it the land is being ruined because of us. This made me want to save the forests. The forests that used to be beautiful are now filled with roads and buildings. I hope that people will start to try and protect the forests too.

Ridhvi

Hello! My name is Ridhvi Kannan. I am currently going to University Preparatory Academy and starting my first year in high school. I have several hobbies but the one I enjoy the most is reading books. I also play the piano and have been playing for 5 years. But who's counting? I AM! Anyways I love hanging out with my friends and traveling. I have always had crazy imaginations that I then use as inspiration for me to write short stories, or just for me to work harder. I have recently been to several national parks and state parks and began to understand how beautiful nature can be. That then inspired me to save those forests by doing what I can.
